Koopa's 500th painting!

"Celebration #5"
Date of Creation: August  2006
Catalog # 7504-500
Canvas size:  36" X 18" (3 ft x 1.5 ft)

These detail shots should give you a good indication of Koopa's personal style, as well as the vividness and the level of quality you can expect.  Please note that some of the photos contain glare and the colors may vary slightly due to differences in monitor settings.  All of these photos were taken prior to the varnishing process.  Koopa's signature claw marks are present  in this piece.  "Celebration #5" is Koopa's 500th painting.

TThe canvas was human-primed with blue & white paint which was allowed to dry, then sanded before Koopa painted.   The painting continues around the staple-free edges of the canvas.  Here are a few progress photos to demonstrate how Koopa paints.

Every gorgeous detail is created through Koopa's natural walking motion.   He is not coerced, assisted, or guided in any way during the painting process.  Koopa is under no stress when he paints.  The slippery texture is just like mud to him and it is equally safe.
